A disagreement between neighbors has led to a felony charge against a Conway man. A Laclede County Deputy responded to the 300 block of Jefferson Street in Conway for an assault. At the scene, the victim told the deputy that he had recently purchased the property and was in the process of cleaning it up. He claimed that 76-year-old Luther Bailey had been yelling at him over the last several days, and taking down no trespassing signs. On Monday, Bailey allegedly told the victim that he was going to shoot him, and then hit him in the face. The victim said he then kicked Bailey, who went into his house and carried out a rifle and pointed it at him. Bailey was arrested on a charge of unlawful use of a weapon. The gun was located in Bailey’s home.
