Camden County Sherriff’s Office is no longer allowed to use license plate recognition systems. The Camden County Commissioners passed a law banning license plate recognition systems in the county, and the Camden County sheriffs used those all the time to help with crimes. Public Information Officer with the Camden County Sherriff’s Department Scott Hines says the systems were very important to the department.
