A Rolla businessman is facing federal charges of sexually assaulting minors. A March 22nd indictment and motion for pretrial detention alleges Scott Micke sexually assaulted one minor and up to six others in locations ranging from Florida to Nevada and did “knowingly transport an individual who had not attained the age of 18 years of age (i.e. a person who was then 11 years of age) in interstate or foreign commerce with the intent that the individual engage in any sexual activity for which any person could be charged with a criminal offense.” The filings also allege that Micke, “knocked teeth out of the minor victim’s mouth for refusing to engage in sexual intercourse” during an incident in Hawaii. Micke was arrested Friday morning by the FBI at his residence above the Rolla Peace of Mind store, according to one court filing. It states Micke, a convicted felon, was found in possession of a firearm upon being taken into custody. As reported earlier, the 700 block of Pine Street was blocked off by police officers throughout Friday morning as FBI agents worked within the downtown Peace of Mind store.
