53 new Covid Cases this week in Laclede County

There have been 53 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the last week in Laclede County. One of the cases diagnosed on Thursday (Case 87) reported that they had attended the Laclede County Fair while symptomatic and unmasked. Laclede County Health Department Administrator, Charla Baker, says the majority of all new cases involve someone who attended a large gathering but didn’t practice any safety precautions……..
Baker says their department needs help from the community before the situation gets out of control…………

Even after several people were infected with COVID at the Lebanon Graduation, another large gathering is planned for Saturday. A group of Lebanon parents has organized a prom for Lebanon students that will be held in Pulaski County at a wedding venue in Waynesville. To attend that prom you must sign a waiver releasing the venue, or any of the parents, from liability if you should contract COVID-19 during that gathering. That group of parents can be found on Facebook at Prom “Footloose” Style For Our Senior Class of 2020. The Lebanon R-3 school district has no affiliation with the group that plans to host the prom.
