5 dead after shooting in Springfield

An overnight shooting in Springfield has claimed the life of one Police Officer and wounded another. The incident near East Chestnut and US 65 at a convenience store, also took the lives of 4 others. The Springfield Officer that was killed has been identified as Christopher Walsh. The wounded officer was identified as Josiah Overton.  Four inside the store, including the shooter, are dead. Another victim was injured and treated at a Springfield Hospital.
