The American Red Cross of Missouri and Arkansas has sent out volunteers for disaster relief in response to last weekend’s storm. After severe thunderstorms and tornados hit Missouri, shelters continue to remain open for those affected by the storm. Executive Director of The Southern Missouri Chapter of The American Red Cross Stacy Burks stresses the importance of the relief volunteers provides for times like these.

In addition to financial donations, Burks also said that giving blood is one of the best ways people can help with disaster relief.
