Weekend Drowning at Lake of the Ozarks

A man from Bosworth, Missouri, drowned Saturday afternoon at Lake of the Ozarks. The Missouri Highway Patrol reports that 41-year old Thomas J. Painter jumped from a cliff approximately 125 feet in the air into the lake and never resurfaced. The drowning occurred at the 64.5-mile mark of the main channel of the lake. This was the 5th drowning in troop F for August and the 11th of the year.
