For nearly 40 years, the voice you became accustomed to, to deliver the news each hour on KJPW and eventually on KFBD Radio, belonged to Warren Goforth. That voice was silenced Saturday night when Warren died in his home at 80. He came to KJPW on January 1st, 1984, after being the manager at KLWT Radio in Lebanon and then editor of the Lake of the Ozarks newspaper. He was this station’s News Director and for many years, its Chief Engineer. Warren Goforth was a veteran, having served in the Air Force in Alaska during a devastating earthquake there. He graduated from Dixon High School in 1960. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
