(St. James)–The Meramec Region’s Transportation Advisory Committee decided earlier this month the expansions of Highways 63 and 50 to four-lane corridors remain the number one and two regional transportation priorities. These proposed projects have topped the regional priority list for several years. Other items topping the committee’s priority list as high or medium priority include safety improvements at the Y intersection of Highways 63 and 28 south of Vienna, safety improvements at I-44 to University Drive on Highway 63 in Rolla, safety improvements at the Exit 159 on-ramp at I-44 in St. Robert, and adding dual left turn lane on Missouri southbound to Eastlawn in St. Robert.
