FALL PRACTICE STARTS MONDAY STATE WIDE AND HERE IN TIGER TOWN, THE WAYNESVILLE R-6 SCHOOL DISTRICT IS OFFERING ALL THE FALL SPORTS GOVERENED BY THE MSHSAA…..SOME OF THE SPORTS WILL HAVE A DIFFERENT PRACTICE TIME IN THE 2ND WEEK THAN THEY WILL WHEN THE BELL RINGS MONDAY….
ALL PRACTICES WILL BE HELD AFTER SCHOOL FROM AUGUST 23RD ON……

cross country will start at 6 monday morning, and last until 7:30 am at the high school…that practice time will remain the same until the first day of school…..

girls tennis practice will start 7 in the morning and last until 9 the first week,
then shift from 5-7 pm the 2nd week…all practices will be at the high school courts.

boys soccer practice runs 2 hours starting 7:30 in the morning on monday and continue in the morning for the first week then shift to 3-5 in the afternoon the 2nd week before the start of school…soccer practice will be at the anderson soccer field at tiger pride park……

girls golf starts at 8am monday at the piney valley golf course at ft. wood….it will last until 10:30…the 2nd week golf practice moves to the afternoon from 3-5:30…

football practice at the tiger football facilities runs from 4-8:30 the first week of practice…..the 2nd week of football practice is from 3-5:30…..

volleyball practice starts at 4 monday afternoon at the tiger gym……it runs for 2 hours the first week, then shifts to 3:30-6 the 2nd week….

softball practice for the lady tigers starts at 4 at the softball complex and runs until 6 the first week…..times are adjusted from 3-5 in the 2nd week….

boys swimming will start at 4:30 and run until 6:30 starting monday at the davidson fitness center on ft. wood…
that time will remain the same for the first two weeks of practice until the start of school on august 23rd.

cheerleading clinics will be held 3:30-6:30 for the first two weeks at the high school…..

The St. Louis Cardinals today announced their Minor League Player of the Month for July as Springfield Cardinals OF Nick Plummer.

Plummer, the Cardinals 2015 1st round pick (23rd overall), hit .326 (30-for-92) with 19 runs, five doubles, one triple, six home runs, 21 RBIs, 13 walks, a .446 on-base percentage and a 1.044 OPS over 24 games in July, reaching base in every game as a part of an ongoing 30-game on-base streak that stretches back to June 29.
