Because of spiraling Covid-19 cases in Pulaski County–an increase of 75 over last week–the 25th Judicial Circuit has placed Pulaski County back to Phase One restrictions in court activities.
This week, a person working in and around the Pulaski County Courthouse tested positive for Covid-19. As a result, all in-person court proceedings are suspended with some exceptions. Under Phase One, no grand jury or regular jury trials are permitted. All proceedings that do not require in-person appearances of parties or counsel and not suspended and should continue to occur by audio conference, video conference, or otherwise as prescribed the judge having jurisdiction. All non-essential travel by judicial employees for work-related functions is suspended.
Pulaski County a few weeks was elevated to Phase Three and allowed to have in-person court proceedings. And now, by the action of the 25th Judicial Circuit, has returned back to Phase O
