(Waynesville)–The Waynesville School District supplied more than 25-thousand free meals to its students last week during the canceling of classes during the current coronavirus outbreak. To prepare the 25,583 meals served this past week to children by the Waynesville School District in partnership with OPAA, managers started as early as 3:30 a.m. with the first lunch shift team members starting at 4 a.m. Prior to entering the buildings, cooks and custodians were asked a series of questions and had their temperature taken by district nurses.
The free meals are being served again this week by the school district.
