22 new cases of COVID 19 reported in residential care facilities in Laclede County

The Laclede County Health Department is reporting 47 new laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19, as of 9:15 am today(Wed). That means at this time, there a total of 191 active cases of the illness being monitored in Laclede County. According to the Health Department, 12 of those new cases don’t have symptoms, while the other 35 are symptomatic. Included in the new cases, 22 are identified as an employee or resident in a long term care residential care facility. All exposed staff, residents, family, and guardian contacts have been notified. Overall, the latest number brings the total cases, active and recovered to 668 in Laclede County. Laclede County Health Department reminds everyone, that with the current community illness spread, any public activity should be considered a potential exposure risk. What that means is anytime you are out, you should wear a mask, and stay at least 6 feet from others.
