Missouri fully open today under the Governor’s Show Me Strong Recovery plan
Missouri is fully reopened for business today under the “Show Me Strong Recovery Plan.” Governor Mike Parson says the move comes just over 90 days since Missouri’s first COVID-19 case:
While there will be no statewide health order during this phase, Parson emphasizes that COVID-19 is not gone. He urges you to continue social distancing and to keep practicing proper hygiene.
For businesses, the following guidelines are suggested:
Implement basic infection prevention measures informed by industry best practices
Modify physical workspaces to maximize social distancing
Minimize business travel
Develop an infectious disease preparedness and response plan, including policies and procedures for workforce contact tracing when an employee tests positive for COVID-19
Monitor the workforce for indicative symptoms. Do not allow symptomatic people to physically return to work until cleared by a medical provider
Develop, implement, and communicate about workplace flexibilities and protections
Communities are recommended to do the following
Stay home if they feel sick
Practice good hygiene
Avoid socializing in groups that do not readily allow for appropriate physical distancing.
Maximize physical distance from others when in public (parks, outdoor recreation areas, shopping areas, etc.)
Minimize travel to the extent possible
Take enhanced precautionary measures to mitigate the risks of contracting COVID-19 if they are elderly or otherwise vulnerable populations
