2024 County Budget is Now Official

The 2024 County budget is now official. After folks had eight days to look at the proposed budget on the county clerk’s website and make comments the commissioners made it official this morning at their regular meeting. Western County Commissioner Darrell Pollock discusses the 2024 sales tax on the 2024 county budget.
Pollock says that roads and bridges are a large portion of the budget, and he says this year there is a new special project fund added to the budget.
Special road and bridge funds totaled over 5 million for the 2024 budget.
Pollock says that ARPA funds will help out with law enforcement and it’s a total of over 4 million with half of that being for the new 911 Emergency Call Center.
