Two men have been arrested in Lebanon in connection with the theft of catalytic converters. The investigation began on Saturday July 10th, when offers responded to a report of suspicious activity at a business in the 12-hundred block of West Elm. At the scene, officers encountered a car that matched the description of one that had been involved in several catalytic converter thefts around town. Officers found 27 year old Lucas Filson of Waynesville and 40 year old James Shaffner of Richland, in the vehicle. The investigation also turned up evidence of the men’s involvement in the theft. Shaffner was arrested on multiple warrants out of four different surrounding counties. Filson was charged Tuesday with felony stealing.
