2 men accused of breaking into home while residents slept

Two men are accused of breaking into a home in Texas County and assaulting the people inside. According to Texas County Sheriff Scott Lindsey, Deputies responded to the Licking Police Department, on Saturday morning, when a three people reported that they woke up to find two men inside their home, on Mounty Drive. According to the victim’s statements, they were asleep when the suspects entered the home and assaulted them with a blunt object and empty hand strikes. Deputies then made contact with the suspects, 21 year old Braiden Spangler of Camdenton, and 21 year old Kaiden Weyant of Jefferson City, and took them to the Texas County Jail. Both men are charged with assault, armed criminal action and felony burglary, with a bond of $50-thousand-dollars.
