2 charged with kidnapping in Laclede County

2 people are facing a charge of kidnapping after holding a woman against her will at a residence in Phillipsburg. On January 5th, Brittany Kirkwood was being sought by the Laclede County Sheriff’s Office, and when Deputies went to a Phillipsburg home, to pick her up, she and Lucas Adam Mackey refused to come to the door. It was later learned by law enforcement that while the officers were at the residence, the two held a woman down, and wouldn’t let her go to the door. The victim said both Mackey and Kirkwood pinned her to her bed, and took her phone. The victim said they wouldn’t return the phone until after they packed up some property, and then left. Kirkwood is charged with kidnapping with a bond of $50-thousand-dollars. Mackey is charged with kidnapping, domestic assault and hindering prosecution, with a bond of $100-thousand-dollars surety.
