A man from Rolla and a woman from Bolivar are charged with child abuse, after their 4 month old was treated for a broken arm. The investigation began in October when Rolla Police received a report of possible abuse. A follow up investigation revealed that in addition to a broken arm, the baby had 18 other broken bones which were at various stages of healing.
As a result of the investigation, the parents of the child 26 year old Shawn D. Crall, of Rolla, and 22 year old Hannah M. Crall, of Bolivar, were each charged with two counts of Abuse or Neglect of a Child. Both were arrested last week, and were taken to the Phelps County Jail. Hannah M. Crall pleaded guilty on Monday November 25th and is currently free on a $250-thousand bond, with another hearing on December 12th. Shawn D. Crall is still in jail with a $250-thousand-dollar bond, with arraignment set for Tuesday. (12/3)
