2 arrested for vehicle theft and drug possession

Two women were arrested in Camden County on Tuesday following an investigation by the Camden County Sheriff’s Office. It began when officials received information about a noticiation from the FLOCK camera system about a stolen vehicle arriving in Camdenton. When law enforcement located the vehicle, the license plate came back as stolen, and the VIN matched a vehicle that had been reported stolen a few days ago. Glenda Kay Whaley of Bonne Terre was arrested and charged with tampering with a motor vehicle. Whaley and the driver of the vehicle, Tina Rose Herron of Bismark were both taken to the Camden County Jail. When the booking officer was taking inventory of the women’s belongings, a glass pipe with methamphetamine residue was allegedly found in Herron’s purse, and she is charged with possession of a controlled substance.
