Two people are facing felony drug charges after a narcotics investigation by the Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group. Officers with LANEG, the Camden County Sheriff’s Office, and Camdenton Police went to a residence in the 200 block of Third Street in Camdenton late Friday night, with a search warrant. While at the door officers report they heard someone running around inside, so they forced their way inside, where they found Alicia Boyd and Matthew Edington leaving the bathroom and the toilet running. In the toilet bowl officers located a methamphetamine bong containing red liquid, and broken pipes. During questioning, Boyd admitted that she had flushed methamphetamine down the toilet. The officers searched the rest of the house and found syringes and baggies that contained substances that tested positive as methamphetamine, digital scales, and other paraphernalia. Both Edington and Boyd were taken to the Camden County Jail. While being processed at the jail Boyd was found with a small amount of heroin. Boyd is charged with delivery of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, tampering with evidence, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia; Edington is charged with delivery of a controlled substance, tampering with evidence, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Both are being held with a bond of $75-thousand-dollars.
