Busy Monday for Covid-19 tests in Laclede County after 2 cases were confirmed Friday and Saturday
Monday was a very busy day at the COVID-19 drive-thru testing clinic across from the Laclede County Health Department. The county saw the first two confirmed cases of the virus on Friday and Saturday. Laclede County Health Department Administrator, Charla Baker, says many of those who received a test on Monday will be connected to those two cases……….
While Governor Parson says the state is expanding testing in some areas, that is not the case in Laclede County. Baker says their department would gladly make use of testing supplies if they were widely available……….
Nearly ten thousand Missourians have now been diagnosed with the COVID-19 virus, and almost 500 of those have died. Nursing homes, meat-packing plants, and jails have been places the virus has spread rapidly. Pulaski and Camden counties are reporting 36 cases, Webster County is reporting 16 (including an employee of the Ozarks Correctional Center in Fordland), Wright County is reporting 10, Dallas County is reporting 2, and Texas County is reporting none.
