Two arrested after pursuit in Camden County
Two people are charged after a pursuit in Camden County on Saturday. According to the Camden County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies were investigating a burglary investigation in the Dodd’s Camp area of Climax Springs, when they located a suspect vehicle. When the deputy tried to get the vehicle to stop, they sped away. The pursuit ended when the vehicle crashed into a fence, and the driver and passenger took off on foot. The driver, later identified as 21-year-old Tyler Ries of Climax Springs was taken into custody when he was tased by the officer. When he was searched, Ries was allegedly found in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. He is charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, tampering with a motor vehicle, resisting arrest, and he is being held on an outstanding warrant from Morgan County.
The passenger, 30-year-old Morgan Collier was arrested at a later time, when deputies responded to another call. Collier is charged with tampering with a motor vehicle and harassment. Her bond was set at $100-thousand surety.
