Health Department and local churches discuss how people could start attending church again
When, and how to safely open area churches have been discussed by members of the local clergy and the Laclede County Health Department. Health Department Administrator, Charla Baker, says there are still questions that need to be addressed……….
Baker says members of the clergy have put forth some recommendations, as has the Health Department………
Baker says even when the stay-at-home order is lifted, churches will still be subject to the appropriate social distancing guidelines. In-person services could be limited to less than 50 people, or even less than ten people, depending on the recommendation of the Governor. Baker says churches will also need to address their children’s programs, nursery, communion, and bathroom usage among other things.
