A Sunrise Beach man is facing charges after he allegedly assaulted his 18-year-old girlfriend. According to the statement filed by the Camden County Sheriff’s Office, 18-year-old Ryan Leo Rogers arrived at the victim’s home uninvited and refused to leave. According to the victim, Rogers forced her to pack her bags, but when she told him to leave he became irate. When she attempted to call for help, he began to push her and shoved her to the ground, causing her to hit her head. He then allegedly punched her in the stomach, pulled hair from her head, ripped out 2 earrings, and started choking her. She said that when she was able to get control of her phone, Rogers fled. He was later arrested by Camden County Deputies and is charged with 2 counts of felony domestic assault and burglary.
