Laclede County has recorded four more cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of cases in the county to 166. Thirty-Eight of those cases are currently active. Two of the new cases acquired the virus somewhere in the community and had no known exposure to other positive cases. Laclede County Health Department Administrator, Charla Baker, says both the county and the state are headed in the wrong direction. She urges anyone who plans on attending the Gospel Music Get-Together this week to help protect the community………..

Baker says, beginning in August, the department will be holding a weekly conference call for all Laclede County school districts. Baker says they were hoping to get through the Summer School program in Lebanon without anyone contracting COVID-19, but that wasn’t the case……..

The state reported over 1000 new cases on Monday, with a total of 1,123. The death toll has risen to 1,201.
