During their meeting on Tuesday night, the Camdenton Board of Aldermen will hear a proposal to increase fees for facilities and programs within the parks department.
City Administrator Jeff Hooker said last year the parks saw a deficit that was over $13-thousand-dollars for the operation of the Aquatic Center, in addition, there are other costs involved in operations of the Camdenton park system. Currently, Camdenton doesn’t charge a fee for shelter or ball field reservations.

Hooker said that the cost of concession items has increased for the city, and they are proposing an increase of 25 cents per item. There is also a proposal for a slight increase in the cost for adults using the aquatic center, but not for children. In other business, the Camdenton Board of Aldermen will consider an amendment to an agreement with Phillips Hardy for the runway project, and they will consider approval of a bid for a truck that was declared surplus. The Camdenton Board of Aldermen will meet at 6 p.m. at City Hall.
