150th Anniversary Celebration One to Remember

It was a celebration 150-years in the making as alumni from 22 states celebrated the 150th anniversary of the Lebanon Public School System; event coordinator Ed Smith addressed the crowd Saturday as the Lebanon Alumni Plaza on the grounds of the Old Lebanon High School was dedicated.

Smith then explained the centerpiece of the alumni plaza.

With that, a sculpture of “Education opening our eyes to the world” was revealed to the crowd.

Alumni Board member Merri Hess said the event exceeded expectations.

Smith added that he would like to see more frequent reunions with all alumni. The event concluded yesterday afternoon following a luncheon and concert at the fairgrounds in Lebanon.
