COLLEGE FOOTBALL
A solid class of returning players and one of the Big 12's better quarterbacks should keep the Missouri Tigers in the hunt for a Big 12 North crown this year.
That's the verdict of Phil Steele, whose yearly College Football Preview is one of the most respected outlooks on the season to come.
Steele says he really likes this year's Mizzou team, but thinks a familiar foe will end up with the North crown.....
Even after losing star linebacker Sean Weatherspoon, Steele thinks senior Luke Lambert - a former Brookfield Bulldog - and junior Will Ebner will anchor a stout defense.....
Steele thinks a tough schedule against the South division will limit the Tigers from Big 12 title hopes, but says there's still a chance to make some noise.....
Missouri will once again play in one of the toughest football conferences in the nation, as Steele ranked Oklahoma number one and Nebraska number five in his Preseason Top 40.
