Investigation continues after a body was found in a pond in Miller Co

The Miller County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after the body of a man was found floating in a pond on Poplar Road near Highway 52. Authorities were called on Friday afternoon when the property owner called to say he found a body floating in the small pond. At the time authorities aren’t sure who the victim is, or how long the body was in the pond. The Boone County Medical Examiner’s Office will be conducting an autopsy, after which we may know more. Anyone who has information and my have witnessed suspicious activity in the Poplar Road area is asked to call the Miller County Sheriff’s Office at 573-369-2444.
